Thank you for checking out the website for St. Bartholomew Parish, Middleburg Heights! Our faith community is eager to welcome you to join us in worship, community events, and religious formation—both in the Academy and in PSR. We are close to our seventh decade as a parish of the Diocese of Cleveland. We are blessed with a beautiful campus and a variety of programs. All of these resources are dedicated to forming missionary disciples for Christ.

Currently, pastoral leadership of the parish is provided by the Congregation of St. Joseph, which was founded in Turin, Italy on March 19, 1873 by St. Leonard Murialdo. Fr. Leo Dechant, CSJ, serves as pastor and Bro. Ramón Soberanes Arias, CSJ is a seminarian in practical training between philosophical and theological studies. The CSJ serves young people and workers. Historically we emerged from the Industrial Revolution in Italy. St. Leonard was a good friend of St. John Bosco and collaborated very closely with him. The CSJ began its ministry here in Cleveland in 1964 by teaching at Elyria Catholic High School. Currently we administer three parishes, St. Jude, Sagrada Familia, and St. Bartholomew. The St. Leonard Youth Retreat Center in Avon has been welcoming youth from parishes and schools for 25 years.
